Now, here's where it gets interesting.
If he can raise $2,500, said adventure will be made available as a pdf. Fair enough. But...
If he can raise $15,000, he'll be sending 9,000 copies of said adventure to stores participating in Free RPG Day. I mean, I went to Free RPG Day last year and got a cool Harn map. But this is a frigging 64 page adventure. For free.
There are also like nine gazillion freebies for various reward levels. Lots of LotFP stuff, lots of stuff from other publishers. When James approached me to see if I'd be willing to help the effort by making one of my own works available as a reward, I was happy to do so. As I've said many times in the past, the OSR is not a zero-sum-game, and when one of us prospers, we all do indirectly.
So hie thyself to Kickstarter and give this bad boy a look-see. There are enough goodies in there to make it worth most folks' while. I personally recommend supporting it at least the $25 reward level. Ahem.
UPDATE: Less than 24 hours in, the project has hit its modest initial goal. Be interesting to see if it reaches the $15k threshold for the print product.
